Visited The Coffee Joint on Napier for breakfast with the family for the first time, and it was a delightful experience. The cafe exudes a cozy charm, with its decor beautifully mixing bookshelves and antique knick-knacks with football memorabilia, creating a welcoming and unique atmosphere. We tried several dishes. The French toast was delicious, though it could benefit from a few more berries on top. The scrambled eggs were generously portioned, making for a satisfying meal. The focaccias all sound delicious and are served on herb bread; the mozzarella one was especially tasty. One important note: the cafe advises against dining here if you have any allergies, as they can't guarantee there’s no cross-contamination.

Such a cozy spot with home-style eats cute seating outside and dog friendly; lots of sweeties hanging out with their owners! Inside is very homey with a wall full of books to explore as well my partner and I can’t wait to come back!

Great little café with a charming old-money vibe! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a nice mix of classic and modern decor. We ordered the Chicken Risotto, and it did not disappoint—generous portions of tender chicken, perfectly cooked rice, and a well-balanced, creamy texture. The Egg Florentine was also excellent, with perfectly poached eggs, fresh spinach, and a rich hollandaise sauce. Coffee was smooth and well-made, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality you get. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely a hidden gem in Essendon—will be back!
